We apologise for the lack of posts the past couple of weeks, we have both been extremely busy and we are wondering how it is March?? Already?! In our busy lives we did manage to fit in a Blonde Edit trip to Amsterdam. It was lovely to have a weekend away with friends, wander the pretty streets and boutiques of Amsterdam, and fit in tasting some of the local delicacies (mainly Heineken). We will save our stories for a later post dedicated to the Amsterdam trip! In the mean time here is a round up of our favourite February Instagram posts.
As you can see our February consisted of lots of grey and black – and thankfully we are not talking about the Scottish weather. In fact we were lucky to have lots of sunny and crisp winter days but our love for grey and black outfits can not be changed by the sunny weather. Another running theme in February was Asian food. We had a few Blonde Edit dinners and we both happened to cook asian noodle recipes!
One of my favourite mornings in February was a Saturday. We both normally work Saturdays so having a Saturday off is always going to be memorable. This particular morning I woke up and it was a miserable day outside (which I was secretly happy about). What to do with a Saturday off? Well, I stayed in my dressing gown until midday and flicked through the beautiful pages of my Kinfolk magazine. This may sound boring but the magazine had been sitting, unread, on the table for nearly a month and I was so busy I hadn’t even picked it up. Sitting in my dressing gown, reading, with a cup of lemon water and fresh fruit was the perfect Saturday morning. It is the simple things!
We are hoping March consists of more mornings like this! And hopefully more Asian food… Can you recommend any recipes? Don’t forget to follow us on Instagram @theblondeedit1 so you can keep up to date with our daily lives.

I have a skirt on! A rare occasion, but I seem to have bought more skirts than normal recently so watch this space! I got this skirt from Forever 21, it is really easy to wear for casual outfits. The material is really nice too – a kind of a structured sweat material. This colour isn’t online anymore, but you can get the same style in black and white stripes here. I am tempted to get that one too, it is such a bargain! My top is one of my favourites at the moment and I urge you all to buy one too!! It is so difficult to find a slightly cropped top that isn’t tight and unflattering (well, on me). So when I found this turtle neck in M&S I was delighted. (If you want to read more about my current love for M&S check out this post. You will also find out about my beloved ankle boots I am wearing.). The top is a lovely ribbed material. The black is sold out but it is still available in a cream colour. AND… I have just noticed it is in the sale – only £9 – get it quick here!!!!!!

Grey Sweat Skirt – Forever 21
Leather Chelsea Boots – M&S
And I now have another chance to show off my beautiful watch….. Check out this post to find out more about it.
Watch – Triwa
We hope you are all having a cosy and relaxed Sunday!

A quick outfit post: a comfortable Sunday outfit consisting of all shades of grey, well charcoal to be precise. I said I would show you this jumper as part of an outfit a while back, when I bought it in November! It is from COS and was bought on a shopping trip in Glasgow which I wrote about here. Although I bought it back in November it didn’t go in to the Winter sale – so the good news is it is still available! The bad news is, it must be sold out online but I recently saw it in a few COS stores in London. So here it is on. Its a lovely soft knitted jumper with a cute flare and zip up the back. It looks great with jeans or a pencil skirt. I also think it would look great with a white shirt underneath!

Jumper – Cos
Jeans – M&S
Boots – All Saints
I spoke about these jeans in a recent post. A great find from M&S and they are so comfy! Anyway I won’t go on about them, if you do not know the full extent of my M&S jean appreciation then check out this post. The boots are an old favourite from All Saints last year so they aren’t available anymore! You can find a similar style here which I love!
Hope you have all had a lovely relaxing Sunday!

Here is an outfit Fi wore for a coffee catch up with a friend. It was a wintery day with a scattering of snow but the sunshine was shining beautifully, as you can see. I am wearing one of my most favourite items in my wardrobe at the moment – my All Saints mac. Quite a lot of macs were in the shops over autumn/winter and, from what I can see, as the spring season approaches there will only be more. So my advice is invest in one now!! This All Saints one is on sale at half price – get it here before its gone!!
Mac – All Saints, Jumper – M&S (similar here), Jeans – M&S (similar here), Boots – M&S
This mac is great for throwing on over any outfit to instantly give it a classic and sophisticated look. It is nice and light so it is a great coat for all year round. In the winter I just make sure I am wearing a cosy jumper underneath. Which brings me to the rest of my outfit, which I only realised now (whilst writing this post) is all from M&S. I have found M&S has some great pieces at the moment. You do need to be willing to have a rake around (especially at sale time) and try things on but I promise you will find something you love. They often have deals on as well. I got these boots when there was a 20% of deal. Which made them extremely reasonably price for leather boots and they are very comfy. I can honestly say I have hardly had them off since I bought them back in September!
The jumper was also a sale purchase (half price!!!) and is the cosiest jumper I own – sometimes too cosy! I bought the jeans full price and they were definitely worth it. I had been looking for a pair of ripped jeans for a while but was struggling to find a pair that I really liked until I found these. Have you ever bought jeans from M&S? All I am going to say is go and try them on now!! I won’t bore you too much but I have managed to convert a couple of friends to be M&S jeans buyers. They are always a great fit and never lose their shape.
Anyway, that is my (not so) secret love for M&S out in the open.
Thank you for reading The Blonde Edit!

The Blonde Edit have been spoilt this Christmas and we both received lovely new watches which we want to show you. Ollie got a Daniel Wellington watch and Fi got a Triwa watch. We love both these brands for their quality and originality, and the simple but stylish designs. The brands are a little bit different from other watch brands which you normally find on the high street. Our particular watches are great for any occasion or outfit.
Daniel Wellington is a British brand which makes high quality watches of a classic style. Check out the website here – it has lovely imagery and stories. Ollie’s watch has a black leather strap, made from genuine Italian quality leather, with a white and silver face. All DW watches have interchangeable straps. We love the idea of being able to have different colours for different outfits.
Triwa is a Swedish sunglasses and watch brand. The products are a mixture of classic design and modern swedish features. We love the brands ethics – it is “dedicated to transforming the perception of the status symbol into a symbol of style”. Which really made us think about the huge number of watch brands out there that are simply a status symbol. Triwa ensures the watches are made from leathers which have a natural ageing process. They use a local Swedish tannery for their products so they know the leather is organic and of high quality. We really think this is a brand to watch! It has beautiful designs and ethical processes.
And here we are modelling our watches – we hope you like them! The Triwa watch is available here, and the Daniel Wellington watch is available here.
Do you have a favourite watch brand?? We would love to know what it is!!

Well another post about cosy clothes is definitely necessary! This week has been freezing here with some frost and a scattering of snow so we are starting to feel a little bit more Christmassy. We are both in love with these comfy knitted & Other Stories Jumpers – a favourite throw on for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Fi’s jumper (the amazing neon colour) is last season and not available anymore *sad face*. But Ollie’s is still available online at & Other Stories and right on trend with the monochrome design. Both the jumpers are a lovely chunky knit and feel really good quality but still very affordable!

Monochrome Jumper – & Other Stories £45
This time of year is so difficult to avoid spending loads of money! Not only have we gone wild buying friends and family Christmas presents but we are constantly being tempted by all the pre-Christmas promotions in the shops just now!! The shopping addiction is not be helped in anyway. So we have lots of new purchases to show you soon. But for now we must try and avoid the shops (until the January sales).
Hope the Christmas shopping is going well and and everyone is starting to get in the festive mood!!!

Hope you have had a lovely weekend!
Don’t know about you but we just love our winter coats… Once our Spring/Summer wardrobes are put away the Autumn/ Winter items are put in their place, and are mostly full with our vast selection of coats in all various colours and styles.
We love these coats… they aren’t too heavy which is good for layering when shopping in the warm shops over the festive period. Ollie is wearing a Topshop collarless boucle wool coat and Fi wears a very similar one in grey from Zara. The grey one isn’t available on the website anymore but it is still in some Zara stores. And Zara now has it in an ecru colour! It is beautiful!
Thumb hole detail making it extra cosy
Stay cosy everyone!

Hello lovely readers!
It is Fi here. I want to tell you about my recent trip to Glasgow for some shopping, eating and drinking (what we do best here at The Blonde Edit). I love Glasgow at Christmas time. It always has a great atmosphere with the sparkling Christmas lights and the happy and friendly shop assistants who make Christmas shopping painless. My plan for Glasgow was to get all my Christmas shopping done, but in true Blonde Edit style I only came home with new purchases for myself! We had a whole day shopping which was largely spent wandering about House of Fraser. I feel like a big kid when I walk in there and see these beautiful, sparkling lights…
I also love Princes Square at christmas. It is a little quieter than other shops and shopping centres so you can relax and browse the lovely shops and have a bite to eat. Plus my favourite shop is there – COS – where lots of time was spent. I could have done some serious damage in there but unfortunately had to remember that Christmas is about giving gifts to other people (not just myself). But I did buy a jumper which I have hardly taken off since!
Flared Wool Jumper – COS
I seem to have a bit of an obsession with grey knitwear at the moment. This is charcoal though so maybe that doesn’t count? This jumper has a ribbed knit pattern and is flared at the bottom – I love it!
I also bought the necklace in Glasgow. We spent the afternoon shopping in the West End of Glasgow. If you haven’t already been there it’s a must! There are great little shops with unusual gifts and a great selection of vintage shops. There are also loads of bars and restaurants. My favourite restaurant is there – The Hanoi Bike Shop, a vietnamese canteen. The food is amazing and they also do yummy cocktails. This was my main reason for venturing to the West End but it was closed!!!! So after stomping my feet and being close to tears I went for some retail therapy instead. I found this amazing necklace in Nancy Smillie. This shop is an Aladdin’s cave of jewellery, crafts, gifts and homeware. I was extremely happy with my purchases of the day.
Faux Leather Pleated Skirt – Zara
Gimme Brow – Benefit
Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick – MAC
After a full day of shopping my feet were aching! So it was back to the hotel for a rest before dinner. For Dinner we went to The Grill on the Corner. I have been here a couple of times and will always go back. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is lively and the selection of cocktails is great. Now… I don’t want to make you jealous but here is the yummy meal I had – take me back ASAP!
Have any of you been to Glasgow and can share your favourite restaurants or shops? We would love to know for our next visit! I will share with you soon some of my recent sale bargains!
Well our very first blog post…. To say we are excited is an understatement. Starting a blog together is something we have thought about for a while because we love the same things. We are the best shopping, eating and travelling partners so why not blog about it? We have now finished studying Fashion Management so this is a nice project for us to do along side our busy lives. Here is Ollie this morning, all set for our first blog meeting….
We did some planning and started shooting some outfits – apologies if there are some awkward looking photos… this posing malarky may take a bit of getting used to! We spent a couple of hours taking photos outside in chilly Scotland and were only left wondering why we didn’t start this in Summer?!
Maybe we need more practise than we thought?!?!
After our busy morning of blogging what better way to treat ourselves than a bacon bagel a cup of coffee… yummy.
We are looking forward to our next post about winter coats. You can also follow us on Instagram and Twitter.
Enjoy reading The Blonde Edit.
